00:01 – Welcome to this overview of the Trader Support Service and how to raise a declaration. Once logged in, if you navigate to the [inaudible] on the page here, you’ll see that you have access to the training materials available via the Northern Ireland Customs and Trade Academy. You can get help by submitting an enquiry and you can start a declaration by selecting this link here. This navigates into the declaration options. At the moment, we have the entry summary declaration, referred to as ENS, and other types of declaration will be made available moving forward.
00:29 – Select the “Start an Entry Summary Declaration”. This opens up the form with all the details and here at the top of the page, you’ll see we have a guide to help you with completing the details on this form. With this form, once the details have been added you can go through and select “Save”. Even if some of the mandatory information that’s presented on here with a little red star is not yet completed at the first initial save, it will save your entry summary declaration. The key fields which you need to complete are also presented here on the right. You can select “Get Help” at any time and that will save the details and raise a case for the Trader Support Service contact centre to respond relating to this particular declaration.
01:14 – Once the entry summary declaration has been submitted, then you’ll find the summary of that in the “Declarations” link on the banner. This is an example of one that we’ve created earlier. And the entry summary declaration presents back to us that unique ENS reference number, and that’s available in all declarations. The other filters that we have here will be a filtered view based on the records that are in those particular state; so those that are currently in draft, submitted, input required, processing authorised, or arrived and cancelled.
01:48 – To navigate back into the record, select the number and that will go through and open up the record and provide– present the details back to you of what’s been saved previously. You can still access the guide from this page as well, and get help.
02:01 – If I navigate to the bottom of the page, away from the entry summary declaration at the header level, you’ll see we have the consignment details here. We have got one that’s already been created but if you wanted to select a new one, you would click on the “New” button and that would open up a specific declaration that linked to this ENS header. You’d add the goods description in here; the details relating to the consigner, consignee, importer, and exporter EORI numbers; and then select the “Save” button.
02:32 – To navigate back to the ENS header level, just select the ENS number at the top of the page in the header. And if I navigate back to the bottom of the form, if I select the declaration that’s been created here as an example, from this particular consignment I can now go through and add the associated goods to this consignment by navigating to the bottom of the consignment page; and you’ll see here that we’ve got a number of goods that have already been added to this, but to select a new good to be added into this consignment select the “New” button. That opens up the form to send the details. If the items are deemed as controlled goods and you select “Yes” to this box, then further fields will be presented back to you so that you can fi– complete those details appropriately.
03:23 – I’m now going to navigate back to the consignment level by selecting the DUC number and because I haven’t saved anything, it’s asking me if I want to go through and save but I’m not going to save this one. I’m going to move back and discard the current new good that we’ve added into this consignment, and navigate back to the previous, um, consignment information level.
03:46 – Navigating back to the bottom of the page, you’ll see we’ve got a number of goods that have been added to this one. The total packages and the total gross mass will sum all the details at the goods level up into the consignment, so you’ll have a summary, uh, and that’s denoted here as a read-only field, so it’s greyed out.
04:04 – So once all the details have been added against a specific ENS record and the associated consignment and goods, you would navigate down to the bottom of the page here and select the “Submit” button. And that will submit this declaration through into the next step in the process. At any time before you select that “Submit” button, you can cancel the consignment and you can also cancel the goods. So if I navigate here into the goods at the bottom of the page, you can delete that specific item from this particular consignment before it’s submitted. And you can make amendments to the goods and the consignment level prior to submission at any time.
04:48 – And once that consignment’s been submitted, once it’s been submitted you see the notification’s coming through here on the right, which you can select X and that will just remove the notification. Going back into the declarations presents the information back to you from the ENS header level here. Um, so this one’s going through and actually, is now authorised for movement. If I want to have a look at the consignment level, I can select and open a consignment here and I can see all consignments. And this one is also authorised for movement.
05:20 – If that ENS has then created a SFD, so a simplified frontier declaration from that ENS record, they will be visible to you here in the SFD section. And if I select the SFD, you’ll see the unique reference number has come here for this particular SFD and if I have a look at the consignments that are linked to that simp-simplified frontier declaration, then those are presented to me in these sections here, as well. And these are also grouped so that you can have a look at them by the actual status, so looking at all processing, authorised, and arrived/cancelled. To navigate into the simplified frontier declaration, you can select the link and that will take you to that record so that you can have a look at the further details and also, um, the summary here is presented. And you can change the order using the actual headers in this particular list view, when you have a number of simplified frontier declarations.
06:15 – And to navigate back, select the “Home” in the header here or click on the HM Government UK Transition logo, and that will take you back to the homepage.
