The Northern Ireland Customs & Trade Academy (NICTA) is an online learning platform that prepares traders for the processes involved in moving goods to and from Northern Ireland using the TSS Portal.

Guidance
We recommend starting with the guidance below to familiarise yourself with the processes and requirements:
- Read A Beginner’s guide for importing goods to Northern Ireland for a helpful overview of the Trader Support Service (TSS) – the Portal through which traders and their agents or intermediaries can submit the information required to move goods.
- View the relevant guidance on your movement journey via the NICTA homepage. For example, if you are moving goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland direct, navigate to the Moving goods from tab on the navigation bar at the top of any page and then select from the drop-down options.
- Read the How to use the TSS Portal guide, to make sure you know how to navigate and use the TSS Portal.
There are further links below that cover each of the steps involved in greater detail.
If you need support
Please call the TSS Contact Centre for support on 0800 060 8888.
You can also submit a query by raising a case directly from the TSS Portal, for which you will need to sign up. For guidance refer to the Registering Your Business guide.
